"Three suites of gouache and watercolor paintings 11 x 15 inches. The first, Astronomies and Pleasures was begun at the Sanskriti Foundation in Delhi when I was in residence there as a guest of the Indian Council on Cultural Relations in February 2007. It was followed by two others, Hours and Seasons, 2009 and Lights and Geometries, 2012.

These pieces were built out of the traditions of Indian miniature paintings called ragamalas which were intended to accompany the music of classical Hindustani ragas."
